Week 8

I've actually been feeling 80% better the past few days since my first sonogram. I know this makes most moms-to-be freak out, but I haven't had any cramping or bleeding so I'm assuming everything is still "boring" as one of my OB's puts it. Of course there are those pesky reminders that rear their heads, reminding me that I'm still pregnant = nausea. It usually hits me at the most inconvenient times like when I'm trying to sleep or in the morning when I'm trying to sleep in :( Could this be the quiet before the storm? As my OB mentioned, the symptoms are likely to get worst before they get better?!

One of the perks of having a working relationship with your OB/GYN group is that you can track them down at work for any questions or concerns. I work in a recovery room at one of the hospitals that the doctors operate and deliver in. Yesterday, I ran into Dr. L at work and inquired about the recent slurry of blood tests they drew on my last visit. He was able to show me my results on a nearby computer. Thankfully everything was well within normal ranges! I found out that my blood type is B+, my glucose was 84, my thyroid levels normals, and of course I'm HIV negative among other things. I also mentioned the morning sickness at night and he recommend me try half a pill of Unisom to help with the nausea and sleep. I do have a prescription for Zofran, but I don't think it's gotten that bad yet.

Can't wait for my second sonogram in two weeks! Hoping that the little peanuts are okay :)
